Since 1948, Bailey of Bristol has built an enviable reputation as a leading manufacturer of caravans and motorhomes. Known for its commitment to quality and UK production, it is an award-winning brand with thousands of loyal customers around the world.
The Challenge
Like most businesses, Bailey of Bristol was affected by the outbreak of coronavirus in 2020. Not only were sales and manufacturing impacted, but also the marketing department, which had several headline events in the calendar.
With the postponement of these events and ongoing restrictions in 2021, the company made the decision to redeploy its event budget. In order to capitalise on the growing demand for UK staycations, Bailey of Bristol decided to increase the level of marketing support offered to dealerships across the country, providing new marketing materials and POS displays.
The Solution
The marketing team contacted BDH Tullford in early 2021, seeking support with the manufacture of POS materials for its retailers. This would boost awareness of the brand with customers who may be new to the caravanning space, emphasising the quality and design of the brand.
To maximise results, an order for 350 TM85 foil pavement stands and 120 PVC fence banners was placed, with a view to distributing to dealerships in spring.
However, given the delayed lifting of lockdown restrictions – and challenges around Brexit – Bailey of Bristol requested that production and delivery be delayed until August 2021, to coincide with the launch of new models and the removal of restrictions.
The Results
Bailey of Bristol received an initial batch of pavement signs and banners, with which it was delighted. The company is looking forward to distributing the majority of its POS materials in August.

- Stock Management
“We were pleased with the product when it came in. BDH Tullford has been really accommodating, which has been really helpful. They held back production for us and that alone would make me use them again. It just makes my life a lot easier. BDH Tullford is firmly on our supplier list now.”
